CVPD Senior Volunteer Patrol Recruiting New Members

If you are interested in helping the Chula Vista Police Department (CVPD) and are age 50 or older, the Senior Volunteer Patrol (SVP) could use you! The Senior Volunteer Patrol was
established in 1994 and is comprised of formally trained and uniformed volunteers. SVP
members do not carry firearms but do wear a provided uniform. Their valuable assistance to the Police Department allows sworn officers to conduct the more critical aspects of public
safety.

Members perform such services as vacation house checks, vehicle abatement, parking
enforcement, “You Are Not Alone” calls and visits, and traffic control. Senior Volunteer member also assist with crime prevention programs and special events such as Coffee with a Cop, National Night Out and more.
